As for the quilt top - I wanted to made a double size quilt, one that was bright and cheerful and at the same time use up some of my smaller pieces of stash. I decided that this quilt would only be stitched by hand, which I love doing and also find very relaxing. It took me several weeks as I only stitch in the evenings whilst watching the television. I was pleased with the result and I hope that those who view it will also find it cheerful to look at.

A triumph for hand stitching with all those straight lines. I love the combination of colours and contrast of the darker sashing framing each star. This looks really good now and I am sure it will look super when it is quilted.
