Miniature One Block Wonders
By: Kathleen in France
Description from Kathleen:
I have a big box of strip end scraps from making One Block Wonders, and have made these two "minis" from those scraps.
The turquoise floral is 12 ins square overall, and the hexagon blocks are 2-5/8th ins across. I have pieced the full size quilt but it's in the quilting queue. Much easier to free motion little quilts such as this!
The orange/red is 12 ins x 13 ins overall, and again the blocks and cubes are 2-5/8th ins, except the tiny "floating cube" which is only half-an-inch across!
It follows the theme of my full size One Block Wonder with this fabric, Candescence, which is also in the Gallery.
From The Tabbycat:
I still find it inspiring to see the effects of this style of patchwork. It must be so exciting to piece the fabrics and then see the result. The accuracy of the piecing is wonderful to see - especially on this small scale.
