This is my first attempt at quilting and I started it on New Year's Eve 2010. It's all done by hand apart from one line of stitches to attach the binding. Sarah is my new daughter-in-law and she has a 'thing' about cup cakes and shoes so I designed the quilt around those two fabrics I found at The Tabbycat.
I am already half way through my next project, a cot quilt for a friend in France who had a baby girl six months ago - I'm hoping to get it finished before she grows out of her cot! After that I am going to attempt a 'log cabin' design in black and white (Newcastle supporters here!) with musical notes, piano keys and guitars for my superbly talented son.

I think you will agree that this is a super quilt and very effective with the combination of modern fabrics and traditional design. I think that Kay is going to be rather busy in the foreseeable future and I suspect that she is hooked on patchwork.
